PESHAWAR – The Mohmand Agency Chamber of Commerce and Industry has strongly rejected the expiration of tax relief for FATA/PATA, citing potential economic hardships for local businesses. The chamber’s executive committee, led by its president, has vowed to resist any attempt to impose taxes beyond June 2025 and will challenge such moves on all platforms.
The chamber has also expressed disappointment over the exclusion of Mohmand stakeholders from a recent meeting at FBR House in Islamabad, calling it discriminatory. A concrete strategy of resistance will be devised to protect the rights of the tribal region if their interests are violated.
The chamber’s stance is aimed at promoting economic growth, reducing unemployment, and supporting local businesses in the region.
